How it works

From word list to a complete classroom bingo set

  1. 01Add vocabulary, numbers, or short prompts one per line or comma-separated.
  2. 02Choose a 3 × 3, 4 × 4, or 5 × 5 grid and decide whether to use a free centre.
  3. 03Select how many different cards you need and include a calling list if you will lead the game.
  4. 04Generate the set, preview every card, then print or download the same arrangement as a PDF.

Teacher guide

Pick a card size for your learners and lesson time

01

3 × 3 for a quick round

A compact card works well for younger learners, lesson starters, or short review games. It needs 8 different entries with a free centre, or 9 without one.

02

4 × 4 for a balanced game

Sixteen squares create more variety without making the round too long. Even-sized cards do not use a single centre square, so the free-centre option is unavailable.

03

5 × 5 for a fuller review

Use the largest grid for broad vocabulary sets or longer games. It needs 24 different entries with a free centre, or 25 without one.

Classroom ideas

Bingo can practise more than sight vocabulary

  • ✓Call definitions while students mark the matching vocabulary word.
  • ✓Read calculations aloud and let students find the correct answer.
  • ✓Use target-language words for listening recognition practice.
  • ✓Add dates, times, fractions, phonics patterns, or historical figures.

Ready to print

Different cards, one dependable calling list

Each generated card uses a different arrangement and prints on its own page. The optional calling list contains every unique entry, not only the words visible on one card. Agree on the winning pattern—one line, four corners, or a full card—before the round begins.

Questions, answered

Frequently asked questions

How many different bingo cards can I create?

You can request from 1 to 30 cards. The generator checks that it can create the full number of different arrangements before returning the set.

How many words do I need?

You need enough unique entries to fill the grid: 9 for 3 × 3, 16 for 4 × 4, and 25 for 5 × 5. A free centre reduces the 3 × 3 or 5 × 5 requirement by one.

Can every student receive a different card?

Yes. Set the card count to your class size, up to 30, and the tool creates different arrangements from the same entry list.

Is this traditional 75-ball bingo?

No. This is a flexible classroom bingo maker that fills the grid with your own words or numbers rather than fixed B-I-N-G-O number ranges.

Are duplicate entries included twice?

No. Entries are converted to uppercase and duplicates are removed, so each square represents a different item.
